I’m on a mission to prove everyone wrong. I don’t know why I’m so hung up on proving the naysayers wrong, but I feel as if it’s in my DNA. I grew up in a household where I was compared to random people, and acknowledgment for my accomplishments wasn’t something that came often. Looking back on my life, I can’t say I’m disappointed but I do have a good understanding of why I am the way I am. I don’t talk to my family. I’m not upset about it either, because it’s just how things worked out. I have some great friends. The accept me for my “out of the box” ideas. I’ve been told that friendships fade and they don’t last forever. Honestly, I’m not too concerned with the future. At least, not the way I used to be hung up on it.
Presently, I have goals and I am going to achieve them. No matter how many times people tell me I’m crazy, that I’m not qualified, or that I am qualified but they don’t think it’s worth it for me to relocate. (I’ve been told the “not worth relocating” line five times!) Sure it’s frustrating but I can’t let them bring me down. I can only keep dreaming and keep working towards my goal. What you just read is a very watered down explanation of what motivates me.
I recently started telling people I want to ride a bicycle from New Jersey to California and once again I’ve been told this is crazy, so naturally I have convinced myself that I have to do it.
This podcast goes out to those who think riding a bicycle ride across the country is crazy, because on this episode my guest is going to run 100 marathons in 100 days across the country.
You read that correctly.
K.P. Kelly is a Branding Consultant that has ran over 100 marathons in his lifetime. He’s ran across Ohio twice and his next adventure will be running across the country. This 6’7 pizza, coffee and wine loving giant is going to do something that most people would consider impossible and crazy. I think it’s amazing.
I had a great time talking to K.P.
